Baker Finishes 17th at NAIA National Championship

LAWRENCE, Kan. The Baker University women's cross country team took home 17th place on Saturday out of 32 teams in the 34th Annual NAIA Women's Cross Country National Championship at Rim Rock Farm.

The Wildcats fastest runner was three-time HAAC individual champion Lauren Jaqua, who finished in 76th-place in a time of 19:04.

Finishing behind her were teammates Megan Rosa, who took 125th and Jillian Benson who took 147th in a time of 19:33. Senior Ashley McBride ran her final race in a Baker uniform in a time of 19:39.

Kerry Kurts took home a time of 19:46 and finished 172nd. Rachael Ash competed in her first national meet in a time of 20:52 and Shelby Stephens took 275th.
