Kristoffersen Breaks 600-yard School Record

BALDWIN CITY, Kan. – Freshman sprinter Khadijah Lane broke the Baker University school record in the 600-yard run over the weekend and qualified for the NAIA National Indoor Championship meet with her time of 1:28.75 at the Bill Easton Classic at the University of Kansas.

She finished in third-place in a packed field of runners from host school KU. Teammate Kellen Kristoffersen also broke the Baker men's track and field 600-yard run school record in a time of 1:15.57 and took sixth in the race behind five Jayhawks.

Jeremy Gathright qualified for the indoor national meet in the men's triple jump with a mark of 14.63m which is 33cm over the A standard. His mark was good enough for third- place Saturday.

The Baker distance squad took first, second and fourth on the men's mile led by freshman Jeremy Bryan who finished with a time of 4:25.44. Taylor Nall took second and Eric Larson finished fourth.

Baker will next take on the Iowa State University Open in Ames, Iowa on Jan. 18-19.
