Track Squad Competes at Indoor Meet Hosted by Doane College

Asher Hannon and the rest of the 4x400-meter relay team finished in first place at the Doane Indoor Meet

CRETE, Neb. – The Baker University men’s and women’s indoor track & field team competed in the Scott Nisely Memorial Classic hosted by Doane College over the weekend.

Many Wildcats shined at the meet including thrower Josh Peck. He improved his A Standard qualifying mark for the NAIA National meet in the weight throw to 17.38m and finished third in the meet. He now also ranks No. 3 in the NAIA in the men’s weight throw.

The men’s 4x400m team of David Gregory, Asher Hannon, Tyler Randall and Tosh Mihesuah took home first place edging out host Doane College with its time of 3:24.91, while Doane was second at 3:25.39.

Greg Henning placed second in the men’s long jump with a mark of 6.93m and Dayshawn Berndt took second in the men’s 200m dash in a time of 23.20.

Baker school recorder holder in the women’s 400-meter, Khadijah Lane finished in second place with her time of 1:02.87 and Kendall Holloman took home fourth in the pole vault at 3.27m.
