McCollum, Peck and Sloan Take Home All-America Honors at Indoor Nationals

Josh Peck earned All-America honors in the men's weight throw at the 2015 NAIA Indoor Track and Feild Nationals

GENEVA, Ohio – The Baker University indoor track and field team sent eight athletes to this weekend’s 50th Annual Men’s and 35th Annual Women’s NAIA Indoor Track and Field National Championships at the SPIRE Institute and three Wildcats came home with All-America honors.

The three ‘Cats to capture All-America honors include Brenda McCollum who took eight-place in the women’s 3,000-meter racewalk in a time of 14:52.

Josh Peck also earned All-America honors, as he finished seventh in the men’s weight throw competition with a mark of 17.28-meters.

Ty Sloan also finished eighth in the women’s 60-meter hurdles to capture Baker’s final All-America award in a time of 8.94.

Also competing for Baker was Tyson Robke who took home 11th in the men’s heptathlon and Avery Parker took 10th in the men’s triple jump and Paige Rockers was 18th in the women’s triple jump.

Kendal Holloman also competed in the women’s pole vault but failed to land a vault. Caitlin Apollo joined McCollum in the women’s 300-meter racewalk and finished in 17th place in a time of 17:12.74.
