The Wildcats are coming off of a banner year in which they won the HAAC Men's Cross Country, Men's and Women's Indoor and Men's and Women's Outdoor Track and Field conference championships.
"I am very excited about the 2014 class and know that they will continue to elevate the level of our track and field teams," Kindler said. "As coaches, we will have a lot of high expectations from this class to replace a lot of talented seniors that graduated in 2013. With this class and combination of the returners, we will look to have another strong squad and should be in a position to compete again for a HAAC conference title."
The track and field squad has also announced that long time assistant track and field coach and Baker alum Mackie Valentin has been brought in full-time to serve as the primary assistant coach for the track program and Valentin is optimistic about this class as well.
"We are very fortunate to have the recruiting class that we have for both the men's and women's teams," Valentin said. "The group is very eager and enthusiastic and we feel has the talent to continue the success that we've had. The freshman class will definitely have an immediate impact on the outcome of our seasons."
