Caldwell Earns Capital One Academic All-District

BALDWIN CITY, Kan. Four members of the Baker University track and field team have been selected to the distinguished 2013 Capital One Academic All-District Men's and Women's Track/Cross Country teams, selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).

The four athletes from Baker that have been recognized as the nations top student-athletes for their combined performances athletically and in the classroom are senior Aaron Caldwell, senior Katie Thurbon, senior Dana Loveland and senior Lindsey Brown.

These four Wildcats will now advance to the Capital One Academic All-America Team ballot, where first-, second- and third-team All-America honorees will be selected later this month.

Caldwell and Thurbon both became 2013 NAIA Outdoor Track Field All-Americans last week for the Wildcats at the national championship meet.

Caldwell took fourth in the marathon to claim his All-America honor and for the second straight year Thurbon finished as the NAIA national runner-up in the Pole Vault.
