Four 'Cats Named Scholar-Athletes

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Baker University men's and women's cross country teams combined for eight 2012 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athlete awards announced at the NAIA Men's and Women's Cross Country National Championships in Vancouver, Wash.

317 women's cross country student-athletes and 203 men's cross country runners from around the country have been named to both teams.

In order to be nominated by an institution's head coach or sports information director, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved a junior academic status to qualify for this honor.

Four members of the women's cross country team earned the award including senior Dana Loveland, senior Lindsey Brown, junior Jenna Stanbrough and junior Megan Rosa.

Four Wildcats on the men's team were also named to the list including senior Aaron Caldwell, senior Chris Duderstadt, senior Taylor Nall and junior Cooper Clark.
