Six teams competed in each race and Rosie Hollis took home first place in the women’s race for Baker in a time of 15:40.
Jenna Black took home 13th place in a time 16:49 and Madison Dispensa finished in the Top 20 with a 19th-place finish in a time of 17:06.
Benedictine took first place in the women’s race, while MCC-Longview finished in second and Johnson County CC was third. Placing behind Baker in fifth was Hesston and Kansas Wesleyan finished in sixth.
On the men’s side, Corey Matteson finished with the fastest time in seventh place in a time of 16:55.
Also in the Top 20 for the ‘Cats was, Jamie Steury in 12th place and Joe Linder in 16th-place.
Gunnar Hays finished in the Top 25 with his 21st place finish in a time of 17:42. Benedictine took home first place in the men’s race, while Kansas Wesleyan finished in second, Johnson County CC was fourth, Baker Alumni took fifth and Hesston took home sixth.
Baker will next take on the Southern Stampede on Saturday, Sept. 19 in Joplin, Mo.
