The Wildcat women's team outran six other teams and Jillian Benson captured first place in a time of 15:28, in fact Baker finished 1-2-3 in the race, with Sarah Hollis taking second in a time of 15:38 and Rachel Ash took home third place in a time of 15:43.
Also running for the 'Cats on Saturday afternoon was Autumn Sifuentes who finished 11th, Brenda McCollum took 12th, Ziara McDowell finished 18th, Caitlin Apollo took 20th and Amanda Moody was 29th.
On the men's side, Baker finished ahead of four other teams. Eddie Esquivel just missed out on an individual crown, as he finished with a time of 16:03 just seven seconds behind first.
Also in the top 10 for Baker were, Gunner Hays in 4th-place in a time of 16:24, Corey Matteson in sixth-place in a time of 16:37, Joe Linder took home 7th in a time of 16:42 Jamie Stuery finished 8th in a time of 16:49 and Andrew Dare finished 9th in a time of 16:50.
There were many other Wildcats in competition on Saturday including senior Vincent Tadokoro who finished 11th, Andrew Emanuels was 19th, Josh Bostick took home 30th place, Carter Breithaupt was 34th in a time of 17:54, Johnny Fulkerson finished 45th and Andrew Heim was 51st.
Baker will next compete on Saturday, Sept. 20 at the Missouri Southern Stampede in Joplin, Mo.
