Wildcats Ready for NAIA National Meet

BALDWIN CITY, Kan. The Baker University men's cross country team and individual qualifier Rachel Ash of the women's cross country team will all compete this Saturday, Nov. 22 at the 2014 NAIA Cross Country National Championships in Lawrence, Kan., at Rim Rock Farm.

36 teams and 76 individuals will compete in the 59th Annual Men's National Championship, while the 35th annual women's race will consist of 84 individuals and 37 teams.

The event is hosted by the Lawrence Sports Corporation and the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conferece (KCAC).

The 8-kilometer championship takes place at 11:45 a.m. CST on Nov. 22, shortly after the completion of the women's 5-kilometer championship which is scheduled to start at 10:30 a.m. CST.

The Championships Award Ceremony will be held at Abe and Jake's Landing in Lawrence, Kan., and will begin at approximately 2:30 p.m. and can be found online live, by clicking here.

Running for the 2014 HAAC champion Baker men's cross country team is Carter Breighaupt, Eduardo Esquivel, Gunnar Hayes, Joe Linder, Corey Matteson, Jamie Steury and Vincent Tadokoro. Ash finished in sixth place at the women's HAAC Championship to qualify.
